Are you the person who wanted numerous PS4 revisions from the high-end to the low-end?

I would like to see a Premium tier PlayStation that could complement Sony's top tier Audio and Video equipment. I think a PlayStation only sold at high end retailers, that delivers equivalent power to the top single GPU PC would be a very nice addition. Not a device that will sell a lot, nor would it be highly supported, but it would fill a small niche that is willing to pay.

At the mass consumer level, I think at least one more PS4 should be released before PS5, around 8 -10 Tflops with 16GB of RAM, at $399.99 in 2019 would be a perfect send off to PS4.

I think Sony should have PlayStation devices from $100 - $1,500, covering the ultra casual to the A/V enthusiast. expanding beyond Home, to mobile, wearable, and transportation.

Sony already covers all of these markets, but they lack direction. If they unify everything, and march towards a core goal, they would be able to increase unit sales and value of all of their products.

There’s no reason for them to spend millions to basically make a PS5 labelled as a PS4 to only sell a couple of millions of units. Developers would also push back because they’d have multiple PS4s to support. That defeats the purpose of a closed platform. Let’s not forget how it would sour gamers.

You’re also forgetting that they are gradually unifying everything that’s related - PS, PSNow, PS Movies, PS Music, PS Vue. They are making game for an IP that they have movie rights to. They tried/are trying for the reverse too - making movies out of their game IPs. They are making mobile games out of their console games. You can’t unify literally everything as that would cause so much interdependency that nothing would get done.
