Forget about the jump size in terms of power. Think about what it ll mean for the user, at 12 tflops developers wont have any issues at giveing better than current gen graphics at 4k. If the cpu is powerfull enough that could easily be 60fps too. Xbox One X is "almost" powerfull enough to give 4k current gen games. The main thing will be the price of the unit, how cheap can they make that console, that matters alot more than the jump size. |
And what powerhog gamer ever think "current gen graphics @4k"? High end PCs close to 12 tflops have a hard time doing 4k on ultra settings...
The price sure matters, but why make an early jump if you can't improve the technology enough and sales are still good?
