Ghost of Tsushima was a fucking sweet surprised, I'm hyped as fuck,
First Guerrila, now Sucker Punch, Sony studios are really surprising me,

I don't really like open world. But HZD and Infamous were close enough to be pleasant and don't need you going back and forth losing time.

Just wished to post this comment from another thread with Shaw Layden commenting on SP.

Microsofts - Loftis (on single player games):
"I don't think that it's dead per se,"
"I do think the economics of taking a single-player game and telling a very high fidelity multi-hour story get a little more complicated"

Sony - Shawn Layden (on single player games):
“My philosophy is to play to my strengths,”

“And if you look at the studios we have – Naughty Dog, Guerrilla, Santa Monica Studio, Japan Studio – that’s what we do well. We do story. We create characters.”

“Those are the kind of things we do well. It’s what we’re known for. It really speaks to our entertainment DNA. We wish to entertain. We wish to make you happy. We wish to make you cry. That whole range of emotions we can pluck at to make you have a great experience. We’re big on character. We’re big on story.”

Sony still believes in makeing Single player experiances, proof is in the pudding.

Even Guerrila nailed it this gen, HZD story was freaking awesome.

Yep I liked more than I would have expected, beggining to end without taking a break.

Whatever vision Microsoft has (which seems to be that it's easier to 'microtransact' players in multiplayer oriented game), I don't think it even affects the majority of games for Xbox One. Microsoft's first party titles makes up for a minority of notable games on the system as long as they have strong third party support.

Pretty much. There's no lack of single player titles on any platform.

Not exactly due to the engagement of the platform holder right?
