Why is it crazy? I think even before the 6 month FY figures were given many believed it would happen over the holidays.
With it being Switch Holidays vs PS4 slow months due to the different launch times it's to be expected that for a while Switch will make up the difference and surpass PS4 on launch aligned for a while.
