HappySqurriel said: You do realize that it takes longer than a couple of weeks to produce a videogame, right? You also realize that E3 is only a couple of months away and most third parties will hold off any major announcments until then, right? Essentially, since last E3 we've constanly heard that developers were increasing support for the Wii (usually at the expense of PS3 and XBox 360 development) so most of the initial increase in support should show up between Q3 of 2007 and Q2 of 2008 ...
No crap sherlock. Do you know how long MGS4 has been on the release list for PS3? For 2 years now. Just because the game is in development doesn't mean they don't announce it on the future release list. Really? Whoa, if that were true that Wii had increasing support since May 2006 over the other two systems you'd see a bunch more titles on that release list then that. There are games announced that aren't even coming out till 2009 on almost all the systems. Like I said, just because it takes a long time to develop a title doesn't mean it stays unannounced until the release date. The ICO team typically works on their games for 3 years but they announce them about 3 years before the release happens. All I see is inferior online, less 3rd party support, and less complicated games, essentially they are making a lot of party games, the one positive I see is a pretty unique controller setup. Now, the DS, I have far more respect for that handheld than I do for the Wii Wii.
