Pretty sure my parents fullHD Samsung has PiP (picture in picture mode), in which you can select two sources to display. Haven't checked if my TV has the same. |
Sure tvs still have pip, but it's always a tiny square inside the main screen. I'm talking about dividing the screen in half. I haven't see that anywhere since 1080p tvs. Actually my current tv only does pip with the build in apps, you can't select 2 hdmi sources, 1 hdmi plus an app, just like xbox one pretty much (before they removed snap) My cable box also does pip with 2 channels, but you can't have them the same size next to each other.
Since I've always used an amp it worked quite well, amp for the sound of the left source, tv outputs the main source, double fun.
