Goood Goood. AMD is Ryzing from the Ashes! They just need to do something about their GPUs

They seem to be selling every high-end, higher-profit GPU they make.
So it's good for them in that regard.

Because it is socially acceptable. Some things have existed so long thjat people are treating it as tradition and would never let go. 2nd hand market is inherently harmful to businesses but it has always existed, so it stays. Something being legal does not represent its morality.

Compare it with smoking. If smoking didn't exist and someone would introduce it today, it would be immediately banned because it is inherently harmful to everything. But smoking is legal despite its harmfulness just because it has been around for so long and as such is socially accepable.

You could argue that 2nd hand is accepted because it's pro-consumer but that's bull. Nobody cares about consumer protection or things would be different around here.

I cannot agree with this.
If the second hand market was to be abolished then allot of brick and mortar stores would simply fold... Along with a chunk of the brand-new physical market.
They go hand in hand.

If a developer wants people to buy their product brand new, then they need to simply provide value-added incentives. - I have literally pre-ordered a game because of a cool statue.

The second hand market is that big because it is allowed to exist, not because it's so great for everybody. If second hand trade had been banned or made undesirable by creators then stores wouldn't fold because no store would build their business model on it.

Second hand has the exact same negative consequences for creators as piracy yet one of the two is supported and the other shunned. You just cannot completely condemn piracy for denying money to creators and then go on to laud second hand trade. It's backwards.
