And those ads always appealed to the same young demographic and were super limited in the games they featured. Never did they do one that featured, say, Bayonetta 2, Smash, and Hyrule Warriors. And they never capitalized on backlog in advertising. And their ads ran for short spans. And they never marketed a non-exclusive 3rd party game. To see them market 3 games rated T and up this early on targeted at an older demographic AND marketing a 3rd party multiplat...it's a profound change. And Xenoblade Chronicles X's first marketing presence outside trailers came in late November. So to see it showing up in an ad in October is a huge improvement. Also, finally they have live action ads that don't suck :P |
