A new hero class called the Shieldbreaker will arrive in Darkest Dungeon later this week, and like her fellow digital dungeoneers she is a formidable but deeply flawed adventurer: "Deadly as a viper, her iron will has been forged in the heat of the blazing desert sun. Though outwardly demure, her emancipation from the barren wastes came at a price so terrible, it haunts her dreams even now."

Desert Child is a racing RPG with a rags-to-riches storyline, customizable hoverbikes and a variety of odd jobs. It's centrally about balancing life's demands—namely keeping a roof over your head and food on the table—while making a name for yourself as a racer, but it plays like a 2D side-scrolling shoot-'em-up.

Bungie: Third-party apps will not result in Destiny 2 bans

If you've visited the Destiny 2 subreddit in the last 12 hours, you may have noticed reports of players getting banned for using incompatible third-party software. Bungie has now responded, saying this is not the case.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War details Expansion Pass and forthcoming DLC

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is now two weeks old, within which time Tim rather dramatically fell out and settled the score with the late Mozû the Blight. Now, Warner Bros. has detailed the Tolkien-flavoured action role-player's Expansion Pass, and the four slices of DLC heading its way in the coming months.

 

Injustice 2 confirmed for PC, beta delayed (Updated)

Update: After Injustice 2 was announced for PC yesterday, it seems the superhero fighter's PC beta will not arrive today as expected.
"The PC beta will NOT begin tomorrow," so says the game's official Twitter feed. "Stay tuned for more information!"
