I think reviewers should give worse scores for games that abuse this, they must evaluate each games monetization with microtransactions and score lower if they reduce the quality of game. Because review scores do diminish revenue for developers, so they are our last line of defense against this bad microtransactions.
Deus Ex mankind divided I remember died by the hand of this, and I hope other will also.
