Not what I was trying to say =o Every canon matters, it's nice to have Anime and Manga ect. as well.

Confused by wording. 

But the way I understand the series: 

Gen 1-5 + Gen 1/2 remakes are Canon 1

3rd iteration games are not canon

Gen 6-7 + Gen 3 remake are part of the new canon aka Canon 2

 

You can think of it like that, but personally, I consider all the games "canon" in a huge Pokémon multiverse.

We just left the Gen. 1-5 universe so it does not really matter anymore, but it technically still happened.

With "canons" I just meant Games, Anime and Manga. =o
