Dance and Math were interesting. My prefered method of killing was using two weapons and Speed Breaking enemies into oblivion. Congratulations, you will NEVER get another turn. If they came close, I used that one talking ability that reset their turn counter to 0 to give myself another 70 turns to decide how to kill them. Physical weapons were pretty different in Disgaea IMO. Axes were the strongest but had poor hit. Spears were a bit subpar but had extra range for combos, swords were middle of the road, fists were great if you had a high speed, staffs were good for extending magic range...etc. Everything did something well. The Kunoichi class is completely dedicated to status affects (did you unlock that one?). The first ability does paralysis, the second does sleep, the third does poison...etc. The monsters were awesome especially with the Beast Tamer around. Put a Nekomata next to a Beast Tamer and have the Tamer use Domination a few times and its attack goes sky-high. It's doing more damage than half your team if you use Domination a lot. ^_^ (And I'm talking about Disgaea 2 btw, I never played the original. |
Didn't unlock the kunoichi yet in Disgaea 2. I've got to get back to that game eventually.
See what I would do in FF Tactics is take the Main Character, Two Black Wizards with the Math Skill and Two Dancers.
The Dancers do the random status effect dance... Black Wizards Math the characters with flare... they're probably dead by the time they get to you after that.
