My reaction was like oh so this is the hybrid, but they’ve done it in one device rather than a dock that acts like a separate console and tablet controller that also acts as a handheld which is what I was expecting at the time. Thinking that would be more successful, as well as both combining and refreshing both their home and handheld console lines.
My expectation after seeing the revel video and the first stuff we heard about the switch was this would be a moderately successful console selling 40-50mil lifetime. Since it’s still a hybrid and appears to have Skyrim on their which signals that Nintendo must have consulted with the third parts during this things development and are finally trying to get them more on-board than with the Wii u.
Off course they’ve proved me wrong since that original reveal and the days before the launch and now look to be far more successful than my initial expectations of the system.
