The Apollo theory sounds good, but I've now heard a million theories that sound good. Although I disagree with the part about the baby and Aaron having special significance in the manor described. The show also on purpose points in a million directions, Biblical refernce, pagan dieities, folklore, anicent myth, there is constant reference and hidden meaning in everything, and for the most part I think alot of this will never be explained.
The part about the numbers I don't really get what he's saying, we already knew the numbers were the Valenzi Equation for the end of the world. They just don't know how the numbers are to be interpreted, and the direct month/day/year thing just don't make sense to me. I think the answer would have more of a mythilogical nature to it. But the writers have said they don't expect to ever explain the numbers, so I'm not expecting an answer to that question even at the end of the show.
