In my defense, I'd consider Meta Ridley in Prime 3 to be the last moment of the game's very long opening. This is subjective, of course, as some people could say the opening of the game ends when you leave the Olympus, but to me at least it's clear it continues on all the way until that boss, since that's the point where the game throws in a major cutscene and loads of plot, introduces your main suit you'll be using throughout the experience and ditches the action-heavy gameplay in favor of a slightly more Metroidvania style. |
I haven't played it, but if you can fell it like a long opening (we have had games with 15-30min opening on the theatrical part only) no problem =]
That was my point on there is very very little games that start with you fightning a boss. But the OP himself explained that he meant first boss and not opening sequel boss.
