I think the soundtrack of BoTW is great for the game it was for. For a game that is open-world with isolation, calmness, etc., the music fits within the situation in the game. The devs and producers wanted this by design. Some of the tracks that really stand out include Rito Village, Hyrule Castle, Stable, Shrine, Goron City, Gerudo Town, and Tarry Town (the development of the song as the town develops was pretty darn cool). Even Temple of Time, while slow, was haunting in a sense, illustrating the ruins of a time past.

Plus, seeing the development of the music and sound through the Zelda Breath of the Wild Development videos showed how much was put into every detail of this game. Whatever your opinions are for this game, you cannot deny how much Nintendo and the developers put that much detail into their big games.
