God forbid their game would be story-based and linear, it would surely inhibit the ability to improve the player experience with such amazing features like loot boxes, micro-transactions and in-game currency.
Sarcasm aside, this now seems to be how far those high up go. These days, linear, story-based games just don't make as much, which means they don't want to invest their money in it. Such a shame, and a real scumbag move against a good portion of who they're selling their products to.
