VR first, although I don't like it.
Then
Desktops. I think in about 40 years consoles will be replaced entirely by desktops.
Then Hybrids. I think that console manufacturers are just desperately clinging for a popular compromise. Consoles used to be the compromise, some may even argue they started as the standard. They were the compromise between very casual gaming and the expensiveness of computer gaming. Eventually they'll have no place in the market, Hybrids will be the last stand and I hope they work out for a while.
