I say Hybrid consoles. It's the natural progression and you can kill 2 birds with one stone(3, if we're counting VR which hybrid consoles like Switch can do, albeit in a limited capacity). Mobile chips are becoming increasingly more powerful and will soon match current gen consoles. I mean there are some that already can match the PS4 but it isn't in mass marketed consumer electronics at this time. I vividly remember myself saying "This is the future of gaming" while watching the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer last October, and I stand by that claim. It's elegant, it's multipurpose, and it's feasible.
