OP makes a solid point for Destiny, but personally I think this gen wasn't characterized by just disappointments, because there were still plenty of stellar games. So, yeah, I'll just stick to the idea of "Game of the Generation" being the best and most impactful game in the gen, which in case is probably Breath of the Wild. |

Breath of the Wild is a good contender overall, will be interesting to see how other developers will borrow elements from BotW into their own open world games.
