Wouldn't be surprised.....Nintendo games have their own review scales and the media has always been extremely biased towards them

I guess thats why games like Star Fox Zero, Zelda Triforce Heroes, Wii Music, and Metroid Other M scored in the 90s...oh wait.

EDGE literally gave Samsus Returns a 6 in the same issue they give Odyssey a 10 in...

Anyways, I think you need to realize it's Nintendo games which made them so big today, not their hardware or love hotels. Super Mario Odyssey is their big flagship holiday game based on one of the biggest IPs in the world, of course they're going sure it's a masterpiece.

This is what people don't get. Nintendo games don't just magically become beloved more than other companies. Their games just appeal to as wide an audience as possible while still being quality games serving that audience.

I didn't get into Nintendo until late 2014, and I didn't play my first Metroid, Zelda, Donkey Kong, etc. until early 2015. There's still so many franchises I've yet to experience like F-Zero, Star Fox, etc. But I still love the games they made. Super Mario 3D World, arguably one of the worst 3D Mario games, was like a 89/100 for me.

That's not out of imaginary bias that popped out of nowhere, it's about quality games that focus on being games first.
