Dude 2K is another way of saying 1080p (small p standing for "progressive" as opposed to i standing for interlaced)

And yes, games on PS4 are between 30 and 60fps. though more and more tend towards 60fps but I'd say a small majority is still in 30fps.

In my case since I'm a 60fps fan I tend to go for 60 whenever there is the option between 30 and 60 like it's the case in games like Rise of the Tomb Raider or The Surge. Other games are 60fps only like Dirt Rally, Dark Souls 2 SOTFS, or the Kingdom Hearts remasters.

2k is usually in reference to 2560x1440. Aka. Quad HD.
4k is usually in reference to 3840x2160. Aka. Quad Full HD.

What do both of these have in common? They are resolutions that are 4x larger than the resolutions they replace. (720P and 1080P respectively.)

DCI and other industry standards do not officially recognize 2k as 1920x1080 in the consumer space when used in the same context as 4k.

Half of 2160P would actually be 3840x1080.

1080P is still called 1080P or Full HD, aka. A Quarter of 4k.
