despite? why would you expect such a trait to ever fall away? life is primarily about survival and reproduction right? and how do you do so? by becoming stronger and gathering resources

life is also about variety

both of these characteristics are always going to be present for humans and even in a perfect communist utopia ( which is impossible ) they will never fall away despite you appearing to  believe that will be the case

there is always going to be struggle to rise to the top of the hierarchy and those that reach there will in some cases use their power to harm those below them, its innate to the human and by extension animal condition unless you're a mindless drone like an ant or bee ( communism )

people are becoming so separated from reality that its alarming lol

Why would I expect such traits to fall away? Gee I don't know, maybe because we are evolving? We don't need to go in the woods to hunt a gazelle to bring food to our families anymore because we have evolved.

It is very reasonable to think that with our ingenuity and our intelligence we should be capable of building a society that is not based on the predatory model of nature anymore. Isn't that the whole point of evolving? Why bother extracting ourselves from the food chain and from being hunted by other animals if we are going to replace all that circle of life crap with a new model that in the end is the same predatory thing as we see in nature, only more refined and complex.

Capitalism is the human version of the food chain we see in nature, in our cities you're not going to fall victim to a hungry lion that may try to eat you and your children, instead you now can fall victim to money, or lack thereof.

Humans are yet to realize that. If our mastery of technology and civilization ends up putting us in a system similar to that we see in nature, then there is no real point in having extracted ourselves from nature. This proves that we are still very primitive and not yet really civilized.

Those who don't understand this simply can't see the big picture and progress cannot be expected from them.

"Isn't that the whole point of evolving? "

the point of evolution is to produce organisms that are more and more adapted to their environment ( in other worlds to cause differentiation and hierarchy ) because the environment is constantly shifting so no you are stating evolution is the opposite of what it actually is

"in our cities you're not going to fall victim to a hungry lion that may try to eat you and your children, instead you now can fall victim to money, or lack thereof."

we fall victim to many many things which is why we seek to ascend hierachies to become more powerful - the only situation where this would not happen would be in a world where there is complete safety and there is no variation between people - the communist utopia

but come on its a joke... its as unrealistic as the christian idea of heaven, well i'd argue even more so

"Humans are yet to realize that."

i think you are yet to realise human nature

"then there is no real point in having extracted ourselves from nature. This proves that we are still very primitive and not yet really civilized."

i wonder if you are realising that you are equating individuality ( which gave rise to technology and civilisation to begin with ) as uncivilised...

look humans are not and can never be perfect and our environment is not and can never be perfect and that is why we have drives that cause us to advance

the world you wish for is only a fairy tale

"Those who don't understand this simply can't see the big picture and progress cannot be expected from them."

lol you have communist utopian ideology motivating you... i don't really think you are in a position to make that argument

looks like people are ripe for creating another soviet union with all of the communist talk i'm seeing recently... its unfortunate, but i suppose its because people aren't being taught the truth with regards to many things
