Mindsets like this are part of the reason it's difficult to speak out. People will be skeptical and believe victims just trying to cash in or 'get back at people', and they're be tainted with that reputation for the rest of their career and possibly blacklisted in Hollywood.
There are many reasons why they may not want say anything. These men have enough power and influence to destroy their careers and even their lives and it's naive to think they wouldn't pull the strings to make that happen.
