But they have been true to their word so far... And By that logic, we can't trust any companies to do anything which makes this thread pointless since no companies really give you a contract about anything they say...

And yea, starcraft 2 has expansions, dlcs and micro-transactions and I voiced my dislike for them... Again, it is not the same implementation as Overwatch.  And it actually doesn't have lootboxes cause lootboxes are randomized while in starcraft 2, You pay for the skins that you want. There is a War Chest thing but that's not a lootboxes thing either cause after you pay for it, you get the skins by playing the game and getting experience but it isn't randomized.

Regardless, I am not defending blizzard. I personally don't like what they did with starcraft 2 but I am defending Overwatch's Implementation cause I think it's the best implementation there is. I got all this content and will continue to get more content without having to pay anything extra like I would if they had the dlc method... Sure, they could change it but so could any other company and at that point, this isn't a blizzard issue, this is an industry issue.

And I don't see how I was "wrong." I am defending overwatch and not starcraft 2 and hilariously, you are the one that's wrong cause sc2 doesn't have a loot box system like in overwatch.

You unlocked everything for free in overwatch because this is your main game your playing online, but would you like it to have this system in every game? Because you cant play all games the same amount like you do in overwatch, but you will found more and more content from other games being locked behind randomized lootboxes where it wasnt the case before, if blizzard does it why shouldnt other companies now? Its a bad bussines pracitice, its way cheaper to just pick and choose what ever you want as your skin, now we have to gamble.

And this argument that you can get everything for free by playing the game works with every game which has microtransactions. The difference here is that lootboxes randomizes the unlockables unlike progressive microtransactions before, it means you play even more to get what you want.

You see they still seprate DLC for your overwatch by making skins exclusive to blizzcon virtual ticket

Overwatch isn't my main game I play. The game is over a year old now. I just play it every now and again. I naturally amass in game coins over time. Who cares if you can't play a game all the time. I can play a game once a year. It will take FOREVER. But I can unlock what I want in a Overwatch lootbox system. We CAN pick and choose whatever we want (except the not cared about player icons) in the game. The events get released again. Plus them reducing item costs on old items. So they make it easier for you to get what you want. I even quit for 3 months straight. I still have no problems. I hate competative mode. But the golden guns are locked behind it. So I've been doing the bare minium to get the points from that mode. It's been over a year. But I will get the skin unlocked eventually.

That assumes you can't live without 100% unlock in the game. I can. I only care about unlocks for 1 character in Overwatch. Even if Blizzard made a item that was for the character I care about, in the con ticket. I wouldn't care. Because it's not worth the price for one skin. So I just don't buy it. Also, you're buying other DLC's and other goods with that $40 ticket. Not just one skin, from one game. So the $40 is valid in that case. But bad if you don't care about anything else. Can Loot boxes be bad, yes. Like in Shadows of War. That's a total joke. Especially with it being a single player game. Can Loot Boxes be fine, yes. Overwatch is an example.

As for the whole if they decide to change the lootbox system in Overwatch. Than Blizzard will become shit for me. It will only make their image look bad. Plus, I will abandon the game at that point. It has no single player content. If they gated MP in various ways. The whole game would be worthless. But I only paid $60 for the game once.
