This isn't crazy. HIV really isn't the problem because most people are on meds or prep (if you are having risky raw sex). The problem is things like chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea which run absolutely rampant. And they are on the rise this apps like Grinder and Tender. And there is no law tell you to say if you have those things.

If you are upset about the HIV thing, you really don't know what actually going on. Talk to a doctor before you get on here bashing California. Understand why it was a law in the first place before you speak about something you don't know.

So because there's other diseases that aren't treated as a crime if you intentionally give someone them this one shouldn't be either?

Yes.  There is no point in singling out HIV unless you are going to go after them all.  Your logic is backwards. There is no reason to go after HIV exclusively.  Of course then there are gonna be people who don't know where to stop and we will see people suing over pink eye.  Be responsible.  Protect yourself if you are going to engage in risky activity becasue these are the realities.   I'm all for wild crazy sex, but I am also for personal responsibilties.  Otherwise you have to explain why someone should get away with giving someone herpies.
