Repro carts aren't exactly emulation, but the same principle applies. Eventually patents run out and things become public domain. So, you're the one who gets to the decide the arbitary cut-off for what's acceptable and what isn't? 

But it isn't arbitary. And it's not just my position. Extra Credits holds the same views on it as I do.
