This isn't crazy. HIV really isn't the problem because most people are on meds or prep (if you are having risky raw sex). The problem is things like chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea which run absolutely rampant. And they are on the rise this apps like Grinder and Tender. And there is no law tell you to say if you have those things.

If you are upset about the HIV thing, you really don't know what actually going on. Talk to a doctor before you get on here bashing California. Understand why it was a law in the first place before you speak about something you don't know.

So because there's other diseases that aren't treated as a crime if you intentionally give someone them this one shouldn't be either?

Not to mention, all of the other diseases mentioned are caused by bacteria and they're easily treated once detected. How can you compare them to HIV is beyond me.

... and I love the "just wear a condom" solution. Condom sales are at all time high and STD infestations, including HIV, are only going up, even in countries with declining populations. Trusting people to do the right thing when they're horny is just ridiculous.

If HIV carriers are putting themselves out there for one night stands or long-term dating, the first thing they should say about themsevles is that they're infected with HIV and make sure the other side is OK with that. It's the MORAL thing to do. Scratch that, it's the NICE thing to do (Some libs only respond positively when you question how "nice" they are to others). To be fair, most of the liberals here, including me, have been reasonable with their opinions so far.
