Woah, it's just going to 48 for now. 64 would be crazy! 
But yeah, African qualifiers are pretty stupid. Not enough places for the amount of teams that really deserve one. Also really sucks that in their final stage it's get 1st place and go to the World Cup or finish anywhere else and get nothing. Really hope when they set up their new expanded qualifying system they have something (whether it be a World Cup place or a playoff place) for the 2nd placed teams as well so it isn't just winner takes all.
