Guys, GT Sport is miles ahead of Forza 7.

Can you look for Forza 7 ?

While it wouldn't surprise me if GT Sport does outsell Forza 7 in the US (let alone worldwide), you should never trust VGC's preorder charts, they are notoriously inaccurate. Games have been under or overtracked by as much as 2.5x on there before.

Well on that point you can't trust much of what VGC post before the corrections, and nowadays neither happen on a timeframe that anyone care to discuss.

So the FM7 is better than the video, but because the gifs are also better than the video it can't be gameplay, ok gotcha.

I‘ve already posted a video of the X1X version on the same track, it looks exactly the same..he just refuses to watch it.

Well he and others will say this is the single track and condition the game look bad, in any else the game is equivalent to PS6 version of GT.

You keep saying this but can we wait until we see actual FM7 on released X1X not E3 footage.  Not sure if anything will change but from what I can see from the FM7 Demo it does not look anything like that the video shone as far as looking washed out.  I would still give GT the edge in light because GT has always had the better lighting and nothing has changed from what I can see.

Also the aim from GT to Forza is not the same.  GT will not have dynamic time of day or weather which is cutting back a lot within the game.  This means they can concentrate more on the car models and lighting not having to worry about those features that such up frames.  The aim of the two games are not the same and because of this, direct comparison really cannot be done.

The outcry about the lack of dynamic time of day is a strange one to me. I can understand how it would somehow affect the enjoyment of 24 hours race events, or long racing events that lasts a few hours. But for the usual standard races? The passage of time is mostly inconcequential. That you don't get to see the sun go from its 1:10pm position to its 1:40pm position really isn't a game breaker.

I'd say the removal of dynamic weather is unfortunate, but again, you can set whatever weather you want to race on. And maybe even have it be randomly chosen for you? In any case, we'll see how the game turns out when it becomes playable tomorrow.

Besides, Kaz said that the game will grow over time. With new features coming down the line. I doubt they'll manage to incorporate those dynamic features, since they're hardware heavy, but who knows? In any case, both games set to achieve something different. But have their distinct "personalities". And that's good!

Yep... people will cry about dynamic weather not being present and then will turn off because if rain start in the middle of a lap they may not get to the pit stop without crashing.

The fun of dynamic time is to speed it up ofcourse. A 30 lap race on Sinclair pass with dynamic weather in DC is an epic event, starting at 5pm game time, race through the night into the morning with accelerated time. Same in GT5 on the Nurburgring, just not as pretty, and so frigging dark at night. Dynamic time and weather is what I miss most in DC VR. No point in doing long races when conditions stay the same. And for sims that means pit stops become pointless as well.

I know the focus is on shorter competitive races this time, but sometimes I enjoy an epic hour or longer race while adjusting to changing conditions.

It's quite funny when you run a 20 min lap and can see the full day rolling =p
