Amazon Video does that (having Prime just grants you access to some stuff with no additional payment), and so does Vudu. Heck, PlayStation Video does, as well. |
The prices are pretty high though, and having movie licenses in different places is even less appealing. I don't even bother with all the digital copies from different services that come with blu-rays, way too inconvenient. Most of them are probably expired too by now if the service still exists even.
Currently Amazon Prime is twisting my arm. I want to buy a physical movie yet it says it's exclusively reserved for Prime members. Actually it lets me go all the way to the place order screen with no clue if I'll actually get it or if it will automatically sign me up for Prime. I hate these scummy practices. I guess I'll email them if I'm allowed to buy it.... ugh.
Edit: I guess it was a bug, now it disappeared from my cart and I can only add it to my wish list. Whatever, don't want it that bad anyway.
