They're both sim racers. Subjective to say which is more sim than the other. Forza releases every year but one is Motorsport and one is Horizon. Motor sports is the sim, Horizon is an open world arcade racing franchise, a very different experience.
Personally I'd rather have 3-4 in the franchise to buy per gen instead of one. GT used to be one of my favorite franchises but because of the complete lack of career mode and the online focus I have zero interest in Sport. And because of how long PD takes to make a game, if they make a traditional GT7 the PS5 would probably be out before we see it.
