There is nothing wrong being Antifa/BLM or Nazi/Alt-right if that is what you believe in. People can believe in what they want if they live in a democratic nation.

Disagree. Antifa and Nazi's are on the extreme parts of the political spectrum and both will often be the cause of violence.
They are unnacceptable in any modern society in my opinion.

The main difference with Antifa and Nazism though is that... Antifa is an anogram for Anti-Facism, Nazi's tend not to hide the fact they are Facist... And because of such Antifa has started to become prevelent because of the rise of Fascist Nazi's.
Antifa isn't afraid to resort to violence if it means that their goals will be achieved... And they need to be condemned, ridiculed and shut down for that.
With that though, they are also not a real organized group, more like a collection of individuals/smaller groups, which is in stark contrast to Nazi's.

You are entirely correct though that in a Democratic free nation that promotes freedoms of expression, movement, association, speech, assembly and so on... People have a right to believe what they desire.
However... That doesn't mean they are free from opposition, that doesn't mean they get a free pass to sprout whatever nonesense they desire without any kind of reprecussion, these freedoms actually have a ton of restrictions.

In short, there is a rise of extremism on both the far left and far right... Not just in the United States, but World Wide.. And that is having a flow-on effect to social cohesian.

Being anti-Islam shouldn't be political or controversial either. But this is the world we live in

As a strong believer in Atheism, I entirely agree with you, being against any religion shouldn't be political or controversial.

However... If you are only Anti-Islam and conveniently ignore the atrocities, extremists/terrorists, hate, violence and so on found in other religions like Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and so on... Then you are simply put... Being ignorant and contradictory.

You need to tackle the bigger problem and you need to be tactful in that approach, just spewing rubbish hate isn't going to solve anything, it's only going to continue the escalation of the current friction between groups.
