The geomentry (edges) are 4K while the textures are checkerboarded by the looks of it. Similar to Gravity Rush 2.

No, everything has to be checkerboarded, and NX gamer has noticed artefacts on the geometry. I have seen real and perfectly native 4K images with zero artefacts and with clearly native 4K sampled textures and then I have seen clear hideous CBR artefacts in NX gamer video on the geometry.

I think the game uses a dynamic solution between native 4K and CBR 4K depending of the GPU load. In the NX Gamer video  the CBR artefacts are exactly in the most GPU demanding spot of the city where I think the game switches to CBR 4K. But I think most of the game may in fact run at native 4K like on those images posted on GAF, at least during gameplay.
