I think it might be using checkerboarding the way Horizon did, because both look pretty on par from a picture quality perspective. It also performs better, with the frame rate looking like it's locked at 30. Even though there's probably some small dips in certain situations, I couldn't notice any. Not stutter at all either.

It's not a game changing patch, for sure, bit the removal of jaggies for 4K TV users is a welcome addition.

Yeah, the general consensus seems to be checkerboard 4k. Plus, we 1080p users get some decent downsampling (though I don't think it's quite as visible as in some other games, the aliasing wasn't bad at all in the initial release), still, it's a free improvement, either way.
