I just checked the game after patching, and the game does look 4K on my TV. It looks quite crisp. Not soft at all.
I think it might be using checkerboarding the way Horizon did, because both look pretty on par from a picture quality perspective. It also performs better, with the frame rate looking like it's locked at 30. Even though there's probably some small dips in certain situations, I couldn't notice any. Not stutter at all either.
It's not a game changing patch, for sure, bit the removal of jaggies for 4K TV users is a welcome addition.
