How much do you reckon Sony paid for MGS4 exclusivity?

OT: i can tell you this, this game, for sony is worth more than dmc4, so4 and gta4 exclusivity combined. seeing as they were able to keep mgs4 exclusive while they let the other three be ehither multi plat or x360 exlusive.

Believe what you like.  I'll eventually buy a PS3 for Versus, and even though it will be dirt cheap by then, I still wont be picking up MGS4.

As for your last comment, its interesting you said its worth more than exclusivity on three games Sony has ALREADY lost exclusivity on.  In the case of Star Ocean 4, the PS3 may not see the title period.  

Seriously, putting MGS4 anywhere near the ballpark of GTAIV in importance is ridiculous. 

 

thats the point, they allowed dmc4 to be multiplat, they allowed gta4 to go multiplat day one and not get time exclusivity, and they allowed so4 to go x360 exclusive (apparently). which is why i said that i think that to sony, mgs4 is more important to them than retaining exlusivity for dmc4, geting time exclusivity for gta4, and keeping so4 on the ps3. 

if sony valued the three more then they would have done something to keep dmc4 exclusive, they would have done something to get gta4 time exclusive and they would have done something to keep so4. but they didnt for these games. but they did keep mgs4 as ps3 exclusive. 

wether or not this is the right choice for sony is yet to be seen. well know by next week.
