The United States treats tragedies like this differently depending on the race of who carried out the attack. No one is going to vandalize a church or spit on a Christian woman or bully Christian kids at school if the gunman is white but if the gunman is Arab regardless of religion then I can guarantee I'd be reading news stories about all of those things happening to Muslims. No one is attacking white people and that's the point, the United States handles stuff like this more rationally when it's a white guy. Not only that the same would probably be true if he was black or Hispanic but the moment the shooter is from Iran or Syria then all hell breaks loose and people give into fear and bigotry.
