Okay, after a couple of days with the Switch, I'm starting to get a feel for it.

Pros:

- Split controller. Feels great to be able to hold my hands far apart.

- The hardware itself looks very sleek and classy, one of the best looking systems I've ever owned.

- Nice simple UI that gets the job done.

- Splatoon 2 is excellent. So far even better than the first one thanks to the broader range of weapons available in the campaign.

- While not a graphics powerhouse, it does produce noticeably nicer visuals than my Wii U.

- Returning to cartridges feels great. There's just something really cute and cool about modern games fitting on such a tiny little thing.

Cons:

- The face buttons are a bit too small, at least for my hands.

- The lack of an IR pointer feels like a real missed opportunity.

Overall, liking it a lot so far, though I am still going through that adjusting process where it doesn't quite feel comfortable and natural yet.

Hold up...

The Switch doesnt have an ir pointer????

Wuuuut?

Isnt that what made Prime motion control work???

Ive had a Switch for 3 months and jist assumed the joycons had one..
