"Mid-gen"? That's selling the Dreamcast a bit short. In terms of processing power, total system RAM, and especially GPU power, the DC was far, far closer to the PS2 than it was to the Saturn. It wasn't some meager spec increase.

My bad. You're right. Dreamcast was a hell of a lot more powerful than the N64.
