For me, the Wii was hope. Unfulfilled hope. It had some great titles. Some that I'll never forget but, at the end of its life, it was my least favorite Nintendo console of all time and my least favorite console of the generation.
Dramatically underpowered. Games that didn't ever control the way I hoped (and if they did, it was just an illusion most of the time. You'd get the same result flailing like a madman that you'd get from precise movement). The worst multimedia support. Embarrassingly childish interface. I don't regret the console and, like I said, some unforgettable times with games like Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Wario Ware and many more. It just seems like I spent more time saying "Wait until you see the Wii's untapped potential!" than I did playing games that lived up to that potential.
I gave mine to my little sister...and if she EVER bothers to look at my Photo Channel activity in 2007-2009, she's going to be in for a shock.
