Absolutely no chance at an early 2019 release. The tech that's required to make the PS5 a "generation" leap over the PS4/Pro will not be ready and/or will be too expensive at that timeframe. A 2020 release would make more sense as it gives Sony's studios plenty of time to prepare as well as go with a more cost efficient console setup. And as everyone else said, the PS4 is doing really well right now. There's little reason to suggest that Sony needs to release the PS5 so soon unless the PS4 suddenly tanks. The PS4 will inevitably decline YOY staring next year, but if it's a steady decline, then a 2020 release would make more business sense.
