Haven't you made a thread like this already?
You can drop the patronizing attitude, the majority of the issues you bring up are either understood or acknowledged already. I'm getting a little tired of hearing about Nintendo's draconian business practices from the 90s for the 200th time and acting like its some new revelation, or how Nintendos hates its fans because you need to buy an amiibo to get a special horse in Zelda. Nintendo fans complain about issues when they deem them issues, it's not up to you to tell someone how to think or act. And if you think it is, then I honestly have no sympathy for the responses you're getting in this thread.
I'll be blunt, if you really care what others think of you, then you're doing a poor job of acting like it. Creating thread after thread to essentially blog your thoughts, which are nearly entirely negative posts on one company in particular, will paint you one way and one way only. This community values members that actually contribute here. If you want to change this perception...contribute to other users' threads, post positive news about your console of choice, or heck, even post in the various off-topic threads around here. If you continue to only come here to shout at people from your soapbox, eventually no one will take you seriously. And rightfully so.

You present yourself as someone aggrieved by Nintendo but you act like someone who started with the premise "Nintendo is bad" and looked for evidence to justify that premise. Nintendo shutting down Virtual Console after 12 years? Man, that's tough. You only had 144 months to pick up that digital copy of Solomon's Key. Oh, but your last Nintendo console was a GameCube, right? So you couldn't get it anyway. |
Great post, and this echoes my thoughts as well.
