You know, you might consider FFXV to be complete, but not Tabata. Considering the surveys, and adding more story related updates and possible new season pass etc etc and who knows what countless other things you'd dismiss.

I didn't argue that FXV was complete. I said that the existence of expansions doesn't equate to an incomplete original game, since you provided no other reasoning in your original post.
Tabata doesn't? Are you refering to the articles that misquoted him in the title, like this one?

Title: "Hajime Tabata: Final Fantasy XV is an incomplete game"

But in the interview it says:

It’s not that users have an incomplete version of the game and that we’re filling in the gaps now. Rather, we’ve already released the complete version of the game, and what we’re doing is simply enhancing that experience for people, or providing different styles of play for characters.”

If not, what comment from Tabata are you refering to?

Ouch!

But as for your argument that Square-Enix are misleading about FFXIV, I can't agree with that either.

It says  "online multiplayer only" on the top right corner, it says "Online" under the Final Fantasy XIV title, and then you have the "30 days subscription with purchase" at the bottom. And that's not mentioning what it says on the back.

Now, anecdotal as it may, I know no one, online or "irl", who ever mistook this game for a traditional FF game.
