I did not say any of the bolded. Earlier when you tried to say that I had that position and I corrected ya on that but here ya are again saying that I think that bolded part. I'll try to walk ya by your hand through my opinion so you don't misunderstand me. It's implied that a season pass includes all the major DLC planned for a game. They sometimes list exactly what you're getting in terms of expansions or big dlc what's planned for the game. They deliver on this. Both Fallout 4 and the witcher 3 were like this. They didn't release any more buyable major DLC for those games after they delivered what they said they would. This is where FFXV is very different than those games and where I have an issue with it. They want to keep making more major DLC for the game after they delivered what they said they would for their season pass. They either planned to do more major dlc from the beginning which means they were being dishonest about what their season pass wouldn't cover or they changed their mind at some point. Again, it's implied that a season pass includes all major dlc for a game (at a discount compared to buying it all indvidually) and that's it main selling point. By SE doing this, it defeats the point of a season pass and it's underhanded because it breaks the established rule of thumb with this stuff. SE shouldn't be creating more major DLC with the intention of doing another season pass/charging for that big dlc after completing all of the big dlc for the original season pass. It's kinda like the special game of the year editions that are supposed to include all the expansions of a game. What happens when you buy it and it doesn't have some of the big expansions because they decided to add in more big expansions after that edition was created? If that was their plan all along and didn't tell anyone, that would be fucked up and dishonest. They would be taking advantage of gamers' understanding of certain terms. Again, if SE wants to do this, by all means, have at it but good luck trying to get people to buy any season passes again or taking their word for anything without looking at the fine print. I don't think SE will do another season pass for FF XV or charge anything for any big expansions beyond what's listed in the season pass |
@bolded: It's not implied at all. You're the one who thinks it should be like that. It is specifically mentioned what the Season Pass you're paying for will include. Whatever happens after that is up to the developer.
So yeah, I don't know why you keep saying my understanding of what you're saying is wrong, when you keep saying the same thing, but with different wording. If Witcher 3 was to get more expensions, they would charge you for them. They wouldn't be included as part of the original Season Pass. But since they only did those 2 expansions and moved on, S-E should follow the same path? They shouldn't release any more content because it would go beyond what was originally planned for the game's Season Pass? Sorry. No.
