It is if they don't buy the disc. And yet you're basing it as if everyone is, thus killing your own reason in the process.
Saying you'll pirate a game, if it isn't brought to your platform of choice isn't doing that? It's not exactly the same as being held at ltieral gunpoint, I thought someone older than me would understand the difference. I don't disagree with this at all. They should bring it to PC for financial reasons. But if they choose not to that is their choice, and it should be respected. Yeah, yet you won't advocate for it to actually go forward, you're more or less going against the crowd that wants it to happen by going with the latter of what you just said.
Where a game originated from doesn't really matter though. If you want we can replace DoS II with Civ VI, or some other game that is exclusive to PC. The point remains the same. You don't see console gamers throwing tantrums when a game doesn't come to their platform of choice. It does if it's being funded directly by the consumer. The point of DoS isn't exactly the same, you're only now using a different one because I just pointed out how it didn't fit. Now you're using a Strategy game for a platform that isn't know primarily for that type of genre. Tantrums, oh that's how it is?. (I take it you don't browse the ent as much, let alone dare to look at the other sides of someone expressing their thoughts on a game not going to their platform of choice, but I imagine in your mind that said thoughts are completely exclusive to just PC people..)
Ok then Pillars of Eternity, Diablo III, and Shadow Tactics. All those games came to consoles. But again the point remains the same. I don't mind if games get official ports to PC. That's fine, because PC games come to consoles in return. They all came to consoles, that's the point, they all arrived, while anything from Atlus in regards to releasing on PC hasn't. All you've done is point out that console users have had to wait a few months to at max, a year or two, while with Atlus titles on PC, years and years. In this instance it's a few PC games going to consoles, when you look at Atlus, the same cannot be said for PC. You want to include other japanese games going to PC, go for it, but we're strictly talking about Atlus here.
You cannot boycott if it isn't on your favorite system? I didn't realize that PC gamers were somehow physically incapable of purchasing a console, and a game to play it on. If you can legally walk into a store and buy something, they are selling it to you. You don't seem to realise that the product doesn't exist on PC, how are you even supposed to boycott a company that doesn't sell to you in the first place?. Oh you want "console" gamers to boycott a game on their own platform?, I'm sure that would send a crystal and clear message that Atlus should in turn, port their game to PC...
Which thread was that? I said I buy exclusives and Indies for PC in my intro thread. That's the only thread I can think of. "I resent the PC Gaming Master Race for pushing graphics over gameplay, embracing digital distribution (which I consider to be a ripp off)" http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=231862&page=1#
Yeah everybody has their differences. That's fine. I really should stop bagging on PC so much. It's just unhealthy. It's only unhealthy when you choose to focus on it often. I've seen this about you for a while now, talking of good for something, but bringing up bad for PC, meta scores, exclusives, games etc, hell anything about the platform. It gives off the idea that you despie the platform, despite having used it a few times. I don't game on consoles as much as I used to some years ago, but I don't call them scumbags or seek to make a thread to bring up the ill of the system. I don't see Valve or any other company out there as my best buddy (like some do in terms of rooting for X company) and I'll go against any company doing stupid crap (like Valve+bethesda and the paid mod crap, or how Valve sucks at trying to tidy up their own store). That said, I've got friends that game on consoles and I let them be. I don't forcefully convert them (like a small few would like to believe), if they want to, i'll be happy to help them. |
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
