So Nintendo is selling hardware and software and Sony is selling hardware.

Not that big of a difference, Sony manufacture and provide components for many phones, outside of their own product line, as well as currently having the highest grossing mobile game worldwide, as per:

Ah never heard of that game.  Looks like it is free to play.  I'm a little curious how a FTP RPG would actually work.  I think I'd rather just pay for an RPG game out right but this is someone that is pretty anti FTP.
