Maybe not.  Maybe they'll take all the extra revenue from holiday sales,  and MHW in January before announced a cut next spring to keep sales healthy throughout the summer. 

I can see that. But the MH Bundle being the price of a Pro is what gives the bundle even more value. Not cutting the price of other devices keeps that bundle in teh spotlight, and therfore keeps MH in the spotlight. Yeah they could cut the price but its about placing extra value and attention on these holiday bundles (also stuff like FIFA, Destiny etc).

I do think a price cut in Spring makes a lot of sense and will definitely keep momentum going into Summer. Especially if the price cut can come with something like GoW or Spiderman etc.

We've seen in the past a limited edition ps4 + game cost quite a bit more. But maybe in this case they just decided to be generous.  After all they probably have a handsome margin on the Pro already. 

 

I'm caught between 2 minds.  On 1 hand they could easily afford a $50 cut to both models.  it would drive big sales in December and January in preparation for MHW. 

 

On the other hand though the ps4 between now and next summer has an extremely strong line up WW. So at the current high price they would still sell a shit ton.  Sony might not want to lose that revenue.  And then when the summer comes they can cut the price then.
