Well it definitely must have been exciting for them going from 3ds level and PSP level games to this. They'd been pretty much developing at the same level from ps2 right up till their last 3DS game. You'd have to imagine they enjoyed the jump.
Now that they're at this new standard though they'll probably stagnate again for at least another generation. I expect future games on Switch but they'll be of a similar standard to world.
