Huh? Larry Fitzgerald had six or seven receptions in the first quarter alone. The way he was targeted and the way the Cowboys allowed it, it was only a matter of time until a big catch happened. That was in the third quarter, I think. But Larry had about 40 yards (4 points) after one quarter and before MNF I was ahead by only ~4.5 points. I don't count on a defense to save many of the 10 default points; if 4 of those remain at the end of the game, that's already a great result. What's more important are the other ways a defense can score points and the Cardinals didn't manage more than a single sack. The only reason why it looked competitive at all is because of the 10 points a defense gets in advance, but a single TD plus PAT by the opposing team already deducts 6. |
According to the score tracker on the website, Fitzgerald had roughly 3 fantasy points until 4:45 left to go in the third quarter. Can't speak for how many catches he had (especially since I don't think the number of receptions is directly tied to fantasy points outside of the yards that go with them). But yes, 3.4ish points through two and 2/3rds of a quarter, which extrapolates to around 5 points for the whole game, is a pretty bad game by Fitzgerald standards.
